Seeking approval from the state government, Yamuna Expressway Authority has dispatched a revised draft of Master Plan 2031 for the development of the first phase.
Yamuna Expressway Authority has dispatched a revised draft of Master Plan 2031 to the state government with some alterations. The altered draft omits plans to build Jewar Airport and the Yamuna Expressway Authority will reserve the set- aside- land for the airport.
Earlier 10,000 hectares of agricultural land was kept apart for the airport construction. Once the plan gets approval, the revisions will be implemented in the sub-regional plan of Uttar Pradesh.
During its last month’s board meeting, Yamuna Expressway Authority had declared that it would send revised master plan to the state government for approval. However the move is believed to follow the State’s CM Akhilesh Yadav’s decision to construct the proposed airport somewhere nearby Agra or its neighborhood.
The Authority plans to develop the area up to Jewar now. Under the plan around 584 sq. km of land that belongs to Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahr districts in the state, will be developed in phase-I. Further this- urban development work in the region; is expected to connect Greater Noida and Agra.
According to the plan, the expected-population in the Yamuna Expressway Corridor will fall over 35 lakh by the end of 2030. To meet this increasing demand for the housing units, the Authority, therefore, has plans to develop 25,000 hectares of land for residential development.
18 group housing projects will be developed under the Master Plan 2031. 100 and 200 acres have been allotted to the real estate developers across the corridor. Further over 2o, 000 individual residential plots are also allotted.
Yamuna Expressway Authority also has plans to construct sufficient number of roads to connect the region with other areas. The area will be connected to Greater Noida and Noida with a 130m wide road. Further other roads also; making sure that the area is well connected with all neighboring regions, will be developed under the Master Plan 2031.
