Land scam allegations hit the headlines of Faridabad mainly because all the land scams are filed against the top politicians of the area. Land scam allegation against Mr. Bhadana is the latest among all.
Faridabad Municipal Corporation’s land is intruded by politicians.
Faridabad Municipal Corporation’s (MCF) land was illegally intruded by the local MP, Avtar Singh Bhadana. Shiv Charan Sharma and Sharda Rathore, the state Revenue Minister and Chief Parliament Secretary (CPS) respectively are also alleged of land scams.
Recently a petition against Avtar Singh Bhadana was filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The petition alleged him of intruding Faridabad Municipal Corporation’s land illegally.
Hearing the allegation-petition, the Punjab and Haryana High Court, has issued a notice of motion to the government of Haryana and others.
The petition was filed by Vandna Kalra, a native of Faridabad. Her petition was heard by the Divisional Bench headed by Chief Justice Arjan Kumar Sikri. The bench comprised Justice Rakesh Kumar Jain as well. After hearing the petition, the Divisional Bench issued the notice of motion for 13th of February.
Faridabad loses its MC land as politicians intrude.
She informed the Court that over 1.25 acres of prime land has been encroached by Bhadana. The estimated price of the encroached land would fall in between Rs.12 to Rs.15 Cr as the land is in the heart of the city.
The petitioner alleged that the revenue minister has encroached some land which belonged to Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA). The HUDA land in Sector 48 of Faridabad has been encroached and some commercial building, consisting nearly 50 shops, has been developed in the land by him.
Besides these two – Mr. Bhadana and Mr. Sharma, a petition against the CPS also is filed. CPS Mr. Rathore is alleged to grab MCF land in Baliabhgarh, along the Sohna Road.
Another influential politician Mr. Vasudev Saluja, of the ruling party, is also alleged of land scam. He is alleged to build a car yard in MCF land proposed for green belt near railway line and Neelam flyover.
