Mr. Sanjeev Saran and Mr. Rakesh Bahadur were appointed sooner than the Samajwadi Party rose to power in U.P. Mr. Bahadur was earlier the chairman of Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway Authorities.

The duo had been alleged of allotting lands to the real estate sharks. Nearly 14 plots of real estate land were allotted at comparatively very lower price. This act caused the state government a loss of Rs. 4,700-crore.

Challenging their appointments, an Allahabad-based NGO called Madhav Samaj Samiti had filed a case in the High Court. The NGO’s petition got stronger when Adv. Renu Singh also approached the HC demanding the same. She filed her case against them in the HC demanding their removal.

As they are in higher positions they can influence the ‘investigating team,’ said the Samiti in its petition. Further the Samiti pointed out the possibility of damaging the existing evidences.

Mrs. Singh said that even she was offered an amount for withdrawing her filed petition.

Soon after the HC judgment she disclosed that she was really afraid of going out these days. Adding to it, she said that she was not sure whether the people who tried to convince of her withdrawing petition, were any well-wishers of CEO or Chairman.

Demanding CBI probe in all real estate land deals since 1991 she plans to move to the Supreme Court. However with the dismissal of Noida Chairman and CEO, Akhilesh Yadav led Samajwadi Party government faces severe criticism.

Akhilesh Yadav government had appointed them in their positions. This appointment has turned out as a major setback for the Samajwadi Party government.

The irregularities committed by both the officials in handling the real estate land caused great deal of loss to the government. Now the state government is asked to transfer these duos immediately. The court also demanded the state government not to appoint them in anywhere in western UP.

Allahabad HC detected convincing evidences against the irregularities committed by the duo in handling the real estate land. By allotting hotel industry priceless real estate land in Noida, the duo has brought great trouble to the Akhilesh Yadav government which appointed them.

Both of the officials are close associates of Ram Gopal Yadav, uncle of Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav.

Allahabad HC has now given six months’ time to the CBI to investigate and submit the report. The court further stated in case if more time is required the investigating agency can request the Court.

Noida being one of the hot spots of real estate should not be fallen into the hands of real estate sharks. Notably the real estate builders are prone to give bribes in order to get their real estate deals done and approved. So by posting such persons as Noida heads can cause further damage to the economy of the state.
